Having an iPad can mean the freedom to send messages, emails and access your photos and content on a large screen from virtually anywhere, but it can also mean that you can blog from virtually anywhere. Whether you are an administrative assistant with a slow work day and want to get in your blog while you work (just not on your computer) or you’re sitting at McDonalds flipping through some photos you took for a blog, blogging from your iPad is a great option. Here are a few tips to get you started.

iOS blogging Apps

Blogging apps are perhaps the most convenient way to blog from any mobile device due to the fact that they allow you to post directly to your blog from your iPad. Plus, they allow you to view comments, moderate the site and generally anything else you would do from a traditional computer. A few popular blogging sites that host iOS blogging apps include Wordpress, Blogger, Tumblr and Typepad. Best of all, 90% of mobile blogging apps are 100% free!

Blog Via Email

Email blogging is the process of writing an email and mailing it to an email address provided by your blog. The email address will then automatically post your email as a blog on your site. This type of blogging is generally very easy, however; if you like to format your blog a great deal, you might have to go back over it later to make a few edits. Blogs that allow you to email posts include Blogger, Wordpress and several others.

Blog via Text

Blogging via text is pretty simple considering that you can send texts from your iPad. However, this form of blogging features many of the same restrictions as blogging via email except that it can sometimes cost money. However; blogging via text can be especially useful if your email is not working and you don’t feel like using an app.

Write & Save for Later

Another great method of posting blogs from your iPad is just to write it while you are pretty much anywhere in the world, save it and then later, sync with your computer and copy/paste into your blog. This allows you to write the blog when you have the time and post it when you have the convenience of working with the full blog interface to add any links, photos or etc. that you might desire.
