If you attend an online college or course than you might want to consider blogging about your school. Students studying at online universities have the unique opportunity to tell the world and other students what it is like studying at that school. At first, blogging about your school might come off as difficult, but don’t worry! It gets easier as you go on. Here are 5 easy tips to help you get started blogging about your school.
Blog About Facts
A good choice of topic when you blog about your school is to blog about facts. This is actually a very broad topic and will give you a lot to write about. How many students attend the school? How many online? How many are accepted, how many graduate? How many are happy with the school and would recommend others? What is the average student college budget at your school? Some topics are relatively easy to research and write while others might require interviewing your fellow students or etc. but no matter what you write about, other students will be interested in your facts!
State Your Opinions
There is nothing more interesting to someone who is thinking about attending your school than someone else’s opinions of that school, especially if that person is attending it. Try writing you opinions, and be honest, about everything from the curriculum, the website, the teaching methods the teachers and etc. Remember, there is always someone who is thinking about signing up for your school and looking for what you think about it!
Write Periodic Reviews
Writing periodic reviews about your school can be a hot blogging topic as well. Many people are interested in how well a school is doing and reviewing its ability to teach you, be comprehensive, hold up to the promises it made and basic course structure, teacher ability will actually attract a lot of readers. Try reviewing a different part of the school each month or week depending on how frequently you wish to update your blog. Remember that blogging more frequently will earn more views; however, you might want to try just installing a periodic, once per month review of your school into your normal school blog in order to avoid eventually repeating yourself for lack of subject matter.
Blog About Student Life
Blogging about your day to day student life is actually a great ways to fill up your blog and attract lots of readers. Try to think of it as an online diary that anyone can read, you can be as personal or impersonal as you like so long as you remember to inform your readers what you did at the school at any given day. Good topics to talk about with this type of subject include workload, difficulty of work, fashion, day to day living, budget, food and much, much more!
Photos or Video Blog
A photo or video blog is a great way to express yourself while blogging about your school. All you have to do is snap photos of your dorm, yourself, your campus, your coursework or your classmates and post them online with how you feel about them or why you took them. A video blog allows you to say anything at all about your school except with a simple video rather than text.
